The front and rear of this property were completely crazy-paved when the owners bought it. The brief was to create two low maintenance contemporary spaces to complement the modern interior of the house, with planting colour and all year round interest. The rear of the property has the added challenge of being in shade for most of the day.

Currently under construction, a simple circular design creates flowing lines in the awkwardly shaped spaces, and planting will be based around a yellow palette (a common colour for shade-loving plants). A circular deck with curtain water feature and solar lighting will provide a retreat in which to enjoy the evening sun.
