‘How to’ Workshops
In addition to offering freelance design and consultancy services to clients for rain gardens, surface water management and retrofit SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems), Wendy Allen also produces and teaches online and practical DIY rain garden and rain planter training workshops for homeowners and community groups with Charlotte Hitchmough (Director of UK Rivers Trust ‘Action for the River Kennet’).

…a ‘What’s in a Rain Planter, Anyway?’ free handout by Wendy Allen. Based on the methods Wendy has refined to construct small scale rain planters since 2017, these achievable rain planters have been built by volunteers and community groups, demonstrated at Hampton Court Flower Show by South East Rivers Trust in 2019, and used successfully in three Rainscape designs funded by Action for the River Kennet.
